Celebrate Dad with a Round of Golf at Canaan Valley Resort

Located in Davis, WV, Canaan Valley Resort has become a beloved skiing destination in the wintertime. As the snow melts and a new, warmer season emerges, the four-season resort transforms into a family-friendly attraction, filled with wonderful outdoor/indoor recreational activities. Lots of Best of Canaan guests come from far and wide to experience the joys of this local staple every season. 

One of our personal favorite Father’s Day spots is the Canaan Valley Resort’s 18-hole four-star golf course (ranked #11 in the state). Golfing is such a classic activity for many dads, so it’s great the course is just a short drive from many of our vacation rentals. Designed by Geoffrey Cornish, the resort’s course is suited for all golfers, regardless of skill level. This summer, tee off surrounded by scenic views and fantastic weather… and, of course, the father in your life! 

Canaan Valley Resort’s course opens on April 1, so you can practice your swing even before Father’s Day. The entire family can get in some memorable rounds on the groomed fairways and lush greens. You’ll also find several other championship features around the course: a driving range, putting green, sand bunkers, and more. 

Need gear or some extra fuel? Stop by the golf clubhouse and pro shop, filled with good eats and necessary golfing equipment for an excellent time. They also offer rentals for golf carts, clubs, and pull carts. Walk-ins are welcome, but we highly recommend reserving tee times in advance. Golf rates can be found online.
