Working with Amy was absolutely wonderful! She was responsive, helpful, and gave honest opinions. She did not pressure us in any way, but strove to understand our needs and desires. Her negotiation skills were appreciated.

I didn’t know much about the area I was looking in, apart from visiting friends for a long weekend every winter. Amy was accommodating with my schedule… having to come from and return to Fairfax, VA limited the amount of time I was available to see places during the day. She was extremely knowledgeable about each place we saw, not just regarding the maintenance history of each property but also the rental history as well. I’m very grateful for her help and the experience she brought with her, as well as her constant good humor.

We were unfamiliar with the area while looking for a second home and Amy provided very straightforward and honest guidance. After we had the property under contract she helped with everything from utilities to insurance etc. We highly recommend her!

I cannot recommend Amy highly enough for real estate transactions in the Canaan Valley area! Her vast area knowledge and connections facilitate a very smooth and stress-free real estate transaction. She always has a quick solution to any issues that may arise with a quick phone call to one of her many contacts in the area. She even arranged for a pre move-in cleaning and firewood delivery! Amy didn’t leave any stone unturned until we were completely satisfied with our home purchase. I wouldn’t consider using anyone else for a real estate transaction in the area.

On a scale of 1 to 10 Barb is a 20. Fantastic to work with. She is prompt. Ten minutes early every time. Walked the entire two acre perimeter with me. Pointed out the features and benefits. Gave advice on best way to build a new home. She even aided on securing a temporary place while house is being built.

Amy is the best. I can’t imagine anyone in the area knows or sells more. Thanks Amy for all your help. To buy in the Canaan Valley and not work with Amy would be crazy. Thoughtful service throughout the process. Amy was forthcoming with honest answers. She truly understands customer service. I will highly recommend Amy in the future without hesitation.

Amy Barb is a real pro in Canaan Valley. She has vast local experience, and knows how to negotiate. She’s also really great to work with – helpful, kind, responsive and not pushy at all. Amy is the best!

Amy knows her stuff! She made buying our vacation home painless. Good communicator, professional and knowledgeable. We had a great experience and can’t wait to get back out to our vacation home.

Amy did an impressive job of presenting our home to potential buyers. Her web page is especially impressive. She managed the details of selling and closing, making our involvement seamless and simple. Highly recommended.

Amy helped us buy our first property in the Valley – that we still have over 25 years later – and for which Amy presently handles the rentals. Most recently, Amy helped us sell a property near Davis, West Virginia. We highly recommend Amy as a realtor. She is very professional, highly experienced, and has the utmost integrity.

Amy is the best agent I’ve ever worked with, and I’ve bought 5 homes over the years. She didn’t push her own listings, and really gave me great advice on pricing strategy. She definitely was in my corner vis a’ vis other agents in the area – and you so often get the sense that real estate agents merely watch each other’s back. If you want someone who is unquestionably going to put your interests first, go with Amy. If you want to pay the very least you can for your home, go with Amy.

Amy was patient, knowledgeable, helpful, and generous, all along the way. It took us nearly nine months to find the right house, but she was game to show us properties again and again. She is highly-regarded in the area, and we couldn’t be more grateful for her expertise.

Amy has the ability to listen and hear things that the prospective buyer might not even be saying out loud. She asks questions, listens to answers and finds the houses to look at without wasting the buyer’s time/money. She has become a friend and a trusted resource for property management

Amy is the best real estate agent with whom I have ever dealt. Totally knowledgeable about all aspects of selling a home, she provided unparalleled guidance and advice. The negotiation, sale and closing went perfectly. I would highly recommend Amy to anyone looking to buy or sell a home in Canaan Valley.

What a delight working with Amy on the purchase of my cabin in Timberline. Working out the details could be a little stressful from 4 hours away, but she really made the whole transaction so easy. She is so knowledgeable about the community I know that she will remain a resource and friend for years to come.

We have done business with Amy twice. She worked with us on our acquisition of a Canaan home and then recently helped us sell it after several years. In our opinion, her local expertise is unsurpassed because of her broad and deep history marketing properties for sale and rental as well as property management. We recommend her very highly to anyone considering a real estate purchase or sale in Canaan Valley area.

Amy is without a doubt the most knowledgeable and professional realtor I have ever met and she was a pleasure to work with. She was on top of every aspect of this process from start to finish and helped us find exactly what we were looking for. Could not give a higher recommendation for this excellent professional…and she is an extremely nice person!

Extremely knowledgeable of the area. She was able to provide a wealth of information that helped us narrow our decision. Listened to what we were looking for and tailored the listings to meet our desires. Very patient; worked with us over an extended period of time to help us find the right home. No pressure to make a decision. Highly recommended if you are in need of a realtor in the area.

Amy Barb is excellent. We currently live in The Woodlands,TX, but will be retiring in our home state of West Virginia. Amy showed us many great properties during the Thanksgiving holidays and when we found the one we loved, she worked tirelessly to get the home under contract. Amy still continues to be a valued agent. She has set up home checks, contracted someone to keep our driveway plowed, and had a load of firewood delivered for closing weekend. Thanks Amy!

Amy is an amazing Realtor. She is professional, knowledgeable, patient, helpful, and very responsive. Amy led us through what could have been a very stressful process and minimized our worries/concerns in so very many ways. Even now that the sale is complete, Amy continues to offer help beyond the scope of her Realtor duties. We cannot recommend her more highly. Trust Amy with your house buying and/or selling. You will not be disappointed!

Amy makes the process of buying and selling homes so easy. We have purchased two homes with her and now have completed a sale as well. Great experience. Highly recommended!!!

Once my husband and I met Amy, we knew we would find a home. Amy sent us frequent listing updates, property details and spent endless hours driving us around the Valley. She has amazing listening skills, endless patience and a very kind disposition. Her knowledge of the housing market, construction and service contract personnel have helped us immensely. Even after closing, I know I can call Amy with a question and get a helpful answer. We certainly think Amy is the best choice in Canaan Valley for a realtor.
