The rental home is very pretty, the views of Gods
creation is awesome.

The property was very clean and in a great location. It is near Blackwater Falls and Davis. The people at Best of Canaan were so helpful and very pleasant. The only problem was the beds. Two were very, very hard and the other you rolled to the middle. Whomever should get new mattresses.

This place was very clean and roomy. You do need 4 wheel drive to get there if there is snow/ice. The downstairs isn’t completed, but the upstairs was big enough for the 6 of us. It was close to Canaan Valley Ski Resort and Blackwater Falls. The views from the house were phenomenal. We will probably stay here in the future.

We had a very nice experience at the Aurora - absolutely loved the remote location and beautiful view. The cabin was very comfortable and clean. The only thing is that for the length of our stay we did not have adequate supplies, such as toilet paper, trash bags, dishwasher tabs, etc., so make sure to pack these things.

We had an excellent and enjoyable weekend. The leaves were beautiful, the weather fantastic and location perfect for peace and quiet. We loved walking the dogs and giving them the freedom to run around a bit. Our granddaughter enjoyed a chance to explore nature.

Way better than the pictures. Peaceful, relaxing and gorgeous home. Beautiful wild flowers, butterflies and mountains. This home had everything you could need. West Virginia stole my heart. Management was very helpful with whatever I asked. Hiking was picture perfect and all about 30 minute drive away.

The house was extremely nice and clean. It had everything that we needed. The description was very accurate about 4 wheel drive. It was a rough ride getting there but nice once there.

Everything was great. Pictures were accurate and communication was on point. The cabin was very clean. GPS does not work when going to the cabin so please follow instructions from Best of Canaan. They are very helpful.

The house was very clean, hot water was great, and the kitchen was pretty well appointed with pots and pans, glasses, silverware, and extras like some spices. There was no dish scrubber. The Wifi was terribly slow when we did use it. There are some games and jigsaw puzzles. One of the puzzles was missing multiple pieces and previous guests had left comments inside the box. Just note the entire basement is unfinished so it's not usable space. If you are coming in winter, YOU WILL NEED 4WD OR CHAINS. The plow came multiple times while we were there so we weren't concerned about getting stuck.

The house itself was pleasant enough, however the picture is a bit deceiving in that the entire bottom floor is mostly unfinished, therefore livable space is only on one floor. No where in the advertisement does it mention the drive requires AWD or 4WD and had I not called the night before to confirm our arrival (because I never received communication since the original confirmation day of booking - several weeks prior to our arrival)did I learn that an AWD or 4WD vehicle would be necessary. It was difficult to get anyone in the office to actually help brainstorm options given it was not mentioned in the advertisement and had I not asked, I was sure to have been stuck after the snow storm rolled through Davis and the mountains. Thank goodness I decided to (and could actually find) rent an AWD SUV just to ensure I could make it home the day after the storm. While I appreciate the experience, and the home is a nice home, I think there needs to be clearer information about the home and any requirements in navigating the road and driveway. Having said this, all appliances worked, we had plenty of hot water, the fireplace was awesome, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I also appreciate the extra time allowed in our departure, and the plow coming to clear the driveway and road out - that was super helpful.
