Offering a full kitchen and laundry area, the house is a wonderful option for seasonal workers. Centrally located in the heart of Canaan Valley it is a short drive to Canaan Resort, Timberline Mountain and White Grass. Appalachian Bunkhouse will also be a practical "home base" for golfers, climbers, and kayakers too! Well behaved dogs are welcome with an additional fee.

Great Home for Groups

This house is in a great location and perfect for our large group of Scouts. We needed very little thay wasn't provided. One side of the stove burner wasn't working as well as the other but it looks like they may have a replacement waiting to be put in. It could use a little better cleaning of the floors as there was dust balls intge corners and dead insects in the basement around the beds. And it would have been nice to find a few trash bags. But other than that it was comfortable and clean. We loved our stay.

Great location!

Overall it was a nice experience! We loved the location to the ski barn and both ski resorts. There were a few things like the coffee pot didn’t work, the can opener also didn’t work, and the upstairs shower leaked downstairs. But we really did have a great time and the house had a few minor things but overall it was a nice property and pleasant stay that accommodated our family well. Plenty of space inside and outside. . We loved the air hockey table and the large space! The beds were comfortable and clean!

Appalachian Bunkhouse

We had a ski team with several teenagers and 3 adult couples. Great house for this. The kitchen could be better stocked with plates, glasses and such to accommodate large groups. We also ran out of TP.

Great place for a large group

We had a wonderful time! We usually book through mountain top or Canaan, but this was a great experience. The place was very large and comfortable for our group of 10. The hot tub was clean and large enough for several of us. Only a few minor complaints: the outside game room door was broken when we arrived and flapping in the wind. Also, the gas fireplace downstairs did not turn on, only the pilot light was on.otherwise, all was great and in a perfect location.
